Zero Waste Chicago: Introduction to Zero Waste Workshop

  • Schreiber Center, Loyola University Chicago 16 East Pearson Street, Room 201 Chicago, IL, 60611 United States (map)

Zero Waste Chicago, in collaboration with the Loyola University of Chicago Net Impact Club, is offering a free workshop that introduces the basics concepts of living a zero waste life. We'll introduce why the zero waste movement is so important to combatting climate change and to building a sustainable future, and we'll offer small, concrete steps you can take to move closer to zero waste.

We'll cover the basics of easy composting (yes, even for folks who live in an apartment!), talk about how to lower your waste when grocery shopping, and present several other simple switches you can take. Learning how to elimate your footprint is easier than you think - with an even greater reward. Come and find out exactly how to take the first steps!

The presentation will last roughly 45 minutes, with time for questions after, and will be followed with a half hour opportunity to network. The Loyola Net Impact Club will provide refreshments, as well, so please plan to bring a cloth napkin and a water bottle so you can partake without making waste! The event is open to all; we just ask that you please reserve your ticket in advance, by clicking here.
