Winter Farmers' Markets

Farmers' markets are such a great place to shop for food zero waste style. Most foods sold at the farmers' market come with less trash and plastic than foods at the grocery - no plastic hangtags, no produce stickers, and no paper receipts. And, farmers tend to be open to letting you transfer foods into your own containers so that they can take their containers, rubber bands, or bags back with them for reuse. The times, locations, and offerings of farmers' markets in the winter differ from the ones in spring, summer, and fall. Below, you can find a Chicago area market near you!
